"I believe that it is through art that man will understand more about himself, the universe and his place in it."
Connection 2000, my largest one man exhibition, attempts to explore aspects of the environment, spirituality and reality. In so doing, it is my hope that I would learn about the past, present and future.
Who am I? Where do I come from? Where am I going?
When I approach paintings and sculptures, my intent is always to have fun and discover more about my existence.
The sculptures on exhibition, deal in an imaginative way with indigenous materials to present conceptual proposals, which suggest issues of identity and memories in a Bahamian context.
My paintings hopefully will appear new, due to the use of bolder colours, richer surfaces, fabric and the evolving ideas about identity, spirituality and reality.
I invite the viewers, to rely on their experiences as they interact with each sculpture and painting. Through this process the connection between art and life would be discovered.
