Antonius Roberts Goes International

The world has taken notice of artistic ambassador Antonius Roberts, especially since 2005 when his work began to reflect deeper social and cultural significance.

Transforming Spaces 2008 - CHAIRS

Sculpted out of reclaimed Madeira and Royal Palm trees that were uprooted during the hurricane season of 2004, "Chairs" celebrates the "Original Bahamians" and their creation of "Duhos" and "Hammocks".

Freedom Call

The works of 13 Bahamian artists were featured during "Freedom Call" - a fine art exhibition which opened on November 9, 2007 in Freeport, Grand Bahama. It was held at the Gloria Banks Gallery, Rand Nature Center under the patronage of the Grand Bahama Heritage Foundation, (future museum of Grand Bahama).

Original Bahamians

Inspired by the indomitable spirit of the Grand Bahama community, this work celebrates the graceful images of the "Original Bahamians" Antonius presented this new project on a milestone - his 50th birthday.

Emerging From the Shadows... A Celebration of Hope

The exhibition features recent paintings by Antonius Roberts. Monday, July 2, 2007 from 6pm - 9pm at the Central Bank of the Bahamas. In collaboration with the AIDS Foundation of the Bahamas.

The 8th Changchun China Symposium

Antonius Roberts was one of 45 artists selected and invited from countries all over the world, to participate in the 8th Changchun China Symposium. This year's theme was "Friendship, Peace and Spring".

Art Off The Main

Art Off The Main is a fine art exposition showcasing contemporary works created in Africa, the Caribbean, South and Central America as well as works by artists of such ancestry who live and work elsewhere.

Funky Nassau - Rediscovering Identity

The powerful and profound Sacred Space was exhibited in front of the Nassauischer Kunstverein museum in Germany. The sculptures are currently installed at The National Art Gallery of The Bahamas as part of a re-creation of the German Exhibition.

Sacred Space

A project spearheaded by the New Providence Community Centre (NPCC), Sacred Space brings together two of the country's most noted sculptors - Antonius Roberts and Tyrone Ferguson - and is part of NPCC pastor Clint Kemp's philosophy that art has the power to change things - for the better.

Transforming Spaces: Gone Nuts

The "Gone Nuts" exhibition is part of the "Transforming Spaces" community art event. Transforming Spaces was designed to nurture increased cooperation and a sense of community amongst spaces on the island, extend their audiences and deepen dialogue with the Bahamian people.

National Black Fine Art Show

The National Black Fine Art Show in New York is the most prestigious showing of black fine art in the United States and this is the first time that the fine art of the Bahamas has been represented there.

The Inaugural National Exhibition, 2003

The Inaugural National Exhibition in 2003 was of particular significance for the Bahamas as it featured some of the most exciting Bahamian art produced since Independence in 1973, and also embodied a prophecy of things to come.

One Man's Vision, The D'Aguilar Collection, 2003

With more than 250 works acquired since the 1970's, the D'Aguilar Bahamian Collection is one of the largest private collections in the Bahamas and features several works by world-renowned Antonius Roberts.
